Why Blue Water Physio

Boutique mobile physiotherapy practice servicing the Gold Coast
and Northern NSW.

Physiotherapy built
around people.

We believe physiotherapy should fit around people's lives, not the other way around.

Blue Water Physio was built to offer something more considered. We travel to our clients wherever support is needed most, bringing consistency, familiarity and experienced care that feels personal from one session to the next. Every treatment plan is thoughtfully tailored around the individual because no two people, goals or recovery journeys are ever the same.

Frequently Asked Questions

Mobile physiotherapy is exactly what you’d expect from a visit to a physiotherapy clinic, except the service comes to you. Whether it’s in your home, at your local gym, the pool, a park or even the beach, we tailor treatment to the environment that will help you achieve the best results.

We’re based on the Gold Coast and Northern NSW, servicing the surrounding areas across the central, southern and northern Gold Coast, as far north as Logan and as far south as Northern NSW, including Tweed Heads, Banora Point and Murwillumbah, down to Ballina. We regularly support participants in Robina, Palm Beach, Currumbin Waters, Burleigh Heads, Miami, Mermaid Beach, Broadbeach, Surfers Paradise, Southport, Labrador, Runaway Bay, Coomera, Pimpama and Helensvale. For participants in more remote areas, we’re also happy to travel further to keep care accessible, and online telehealth consultations are available for anyone who prefers remote support.

No referral is needed for NDIS or private clients. Support at Home and Restorative Care Pathway sessions are arranged through your aged care provider. Medicare-rebated sessions need a GP Chronic Condition Management Plan and GP referral, and DVA clients need a GP referral. Give our team a call and we’ll help you sort out what applies to you.

Yes. Most of our clients are funded through the NDIS or aged care (Support at Home and the Restorative Care Pathway). Sessions can also be covered by Medicare with a GP Chronic Condition Management Plan, by private health extras or by DVA. Funding varies from person to person, so give our team a call and we’ll help confirm what’s available to you.

Yes. Continuity of care is one of the things we value most. You’ll be matched with a physio who gets to know you, your goals and your progress, and you’ll continue seeing them at every visit rather than starting over with someone new each time.

Every participant starts with a conversation. Your physio will take the time to understand your situation, your goals and what a good outcome looks like for you, before carrying out a thorough assessment. From there, we build a personalised plan together, one that fits your body, your goals and your life.

Yes. Physiotherapists are qualified, university-trained health professionals who can assess, diagnose and treat a wide range of musculoskeletal, neurological and movement-related conditions. Where a presentation is complex or outside our scope, we work closely with your GP or specialist as part of a joined-up care team.

Yes. Depending on your situation, sessions can be funded through:

  • NDIS: Capacity Building (Improved Daily Living). We work with agency-managed, plan-managed and self-managed participants.
  • Support at Home: we work alongside your Support at Home provider.
  • Restorative Care Pathway: short-term allied health support through Support at Home, arranged with your aged care provider.
  • Medicare: rebates for up to five sessions a year with a GP Chronic Condition Management Plan and GP referral.
  • Private health insurance: depending on your extras cover.
  • DVA: Gold Card or White Card (for accepted conditions), with a GP referral.
  • Private (self-funded).

Not sure what applies to you? Give our team a call and we’ll help you work it out.
